The Courage To Speak Foundation Support Group

The Courage To Speak Foundation Support Group was founded in 2002 and the purpose is to share with others who have found the strength and hope in the group.

The death of a child is the most devastating and tragic loss for anyone to face. When a child is lost to drugs, societal marking can further thrust parents and surviving family members into a pain that is defined by isolation and exclusion. The Courage To Speak Support Groups was formed to help parents and families who lost their child to the ravages to substance abuse.

Our meetings are intended to be as comfortable and stress less as possible. People can share their experiences with others or just listen. The Courage To Speak Foundation Support group is helpful because although our stories are different and our experience of grief are similar. Suggestion for help is shared. The Courage To Speak Foundation Support Group provides a circle of care, understanding and respect. The group acts as an underlying strength that helps keep us united as a family. After meeting many people to keep in contact with each other by phone and or email.

We meet one Monday night of each month at 6:30 pm to 8 pm in Norwalk, CT. The Courage To Speak Support Group and our gatherings are not only devoted to parents, but are also for those who are grieving for a parent, spouse, sibling or a friend due to substance abuse. We are here to help.
